JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated In-House Construction Attorney to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing legal guidance and support related to construction projects, contracts, and disputes. QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Work Experience
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as an attorney with a focus on construction law.
Licenses and Certifications
- Active license to practice law in New York, New Jersey or Florida.
Estimated salary range for this position is $125,000.00 to $175,000.00.

- Strong understanding of construction industry practices, contracts, and damages.

Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Review, draft, and negotiate construction contracts, including design contracts, construction contracts, and subcontracts.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to project teams on construction-related issues, risk management, and compliance.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure contract terms and conditions are met.
- Assist in the resolution of construction disputes, including claims, change orders, and delays.
- Assist with payment disputes and resolution.
- Works closely with external legal counsel when necessary.
- Evaluate possible legal risks and liabilities within the company’s operations. Formulate strategies for efficiently mitigating and overseeing these potential risks.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to stay up to date on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
- Assist in legal evaluation for operations relative to opening offices in new regional markets.
