Opportunity for a Legal Counsel/ Senior Legal Counsel to join this Top 200 ASX Listed Property Organisation, which is seeking a talented property/ litigation Lawyer to support a cohesive, high performing team.
This is a 6-12 month contract role that will suit an experienced Lawyer with a strong background in commercial property litigation and disputes. Managing the external law firms this role will work closely with the business organising documents and drafting briefing papers for Boards and Committees.
There is flexibility for this contract to be part-time or full-time, depending on the successful candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Providing both technical support and legal assistance
- Organising and managing large volumes of documents and data
- Keeping track of legal proceedings as well as managing ongoing contractual obligations
- Drafting straightforward legal documents based on instructions from the in-house Development team
- Providing instructions to external law firms
- Providing case management skills
- Drafting briefing papers about proceedings for boards and committees
- Keeping administrative tasks up to date
- Managing external legal costs
