They’re seeking a talented Lawyer with exemplary technical skills to manage defendant professional indemnity matters. As In-House Claims Counsel, you’ll be entrusted with:

  • Managing day-to-day claims and risk management processes, involving collaboration with various stakeholders.
  • Handling a portfolio of matters including Professional Indemnity claims (Financial Lines and D&O), Cyber Risk, and Liability Insurance.
  • Assisting with compliance procedures and other directives from senior management.
  • Negotiating and exploring alternative solutions to secure mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Client relationship management and building business relationships to meet mutual objectives

IN-HOUSE LITIGATION INSURANCE ROLE

They’re seeking a talented Lawyer with exemplary technical skills to manage defendant professional indemnity matters. As In-House Claims Counsel, you’ll be entrusted with:

  • Managing day-to-day claims and risk management processes, involving collaboration with various stakeholders.
  • Handling a portfolio of matters including Professional Indemnity claims (Financial Lines and D&O), Cyber Risk, and Liability Insurance.
  • Assisting with compliance procedures and other directives from senior management.
  • Negotiating and exploring alternative solutions to secure mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Client relationship management and building business relationships to meet mutual objectives.

Initially reporting directly to the Senior Legal Counsel, you’ll receive comprehensive mentorship, ensuring a seamless transition into the role.

To be successful in this role you will take a flexible, adaptable and pragmatic approach to managing a busy work flow. Key qualifications include:

  • Minimum of 3 years PAE in defendant insurance but applications considered up to Special Counsel level.
  • Ability to work with a degree of autonomy and with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in civil or insurance litigation and understanding of legislative obligations in this space.
  • Familiarity with claims management systems and insurance industry technology.
  • Knowledge of compliance and risk management protocols
