Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
The individual will be responsible for dealing with client complaints in accordance with the firm’s Complaint Procedure. This will involve:
- liaising with the complainant and internal members of staff,
- investigating the complaint and providing an appropriate response to the complaint,
- maintaining the firm’s complaint records.
- From time to time, it may also involve dealing with the Legal Ombudsman in the event that a complaint is escalated to them.
The individual will be responsible for dealing with notifications of potential and actual professional negligence that arise within the firm. This will involve:
- Investigating and establishing the facts of any reported circumstance
- Advising and providing appropriate assistance on the steps to be taken to deal with the circumstances
- Advising on potential conflict and pre-action protocol.
- Liaising with Head of Compliance and Quality, internal stakeholders, insurers and advisers and external third parties as necessary.
- maintaining the firm’s professional indemnity records.
