Description:

  • Monday-Friday 5am-2:30pm (45 Hours)
  • Brand new DC located in Wiri
    The role of the Supervisor is to develop, administer and lead the assigned processes and procedures within the Auckland Distribution Centre in line with inventory requirements, team leadership, health and safety, quality measurement and control, contributing to the delivery of key initiatives and providing support to the Distribution team to ensure targets are achieved.
    The Supervisor operates at a daily level to deliver the plan, making adjustments based on the immediate conditions (absenteeism, breakdowns, priorities).

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership of the Inbound AM team, including assignment of tasks, training, coaching, giving feedback, encouraging the development of teamwork and developing an inclusive team environment
  • Be a safety champion, ensuring that safe work practices are followed, risks in your work area are understood, hazards are reported and resolved, and incidents are responded to in accordance with defined processes
  • Management of the area with KPIs, ensuring that metrics are captured and achieved as defined
  • Execute the operational plan in line with priorities and day-to-day constraints, ensuring tasks are carried out to the standard defined
  • Through ownership of processes, identify gaps and opportunities, raising these to the Manager to resolve collaboratively. Ensure correct processes are adhered to
  • Deliver to the defined daily rhythm for Inbound AM, including toolbox briefings and handovers
  • Become competent in the use of the Auckland DC Warehouse Management System, using this and available reporting to understand, monitor and manage the operation
  • Deliver to internal and external customer service standards, working collaboratively to solve problems as required
  • Ensure the company adheres to all legislative requirements across H&S, Hazardous Substances and Biosecurity / Transitional Facility
  • Contribute to maintaining the presentation of the Distribution Centre to a level that meets company requirements.
  • Work in a co-operative and constructive manner with other department managers to achieve most effective, efficient results from company resources and department staff
