Description:

You will play a key role in managing a traditional cash portfolio and supporting our Fixed Income and Mortgage Fund Portfolio Managers. Your focus will be on delivering fund management solutions specifically related to defensive or income assets. If you are passionate about portfolio management and have a keen interest in fixed-income products, this role is perfect for you. We are open to both part-time and full-time applicants.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of predominantly cash, short-term deposits, and money market securities
  • Assist in managing a high-quality, diversified Australian fixed income portfolio
  • Support the Portfolio Manager in the daily operations of the EQT Mortgage Fund
  • Adhere to investment guidelines and manage risk and compliance
  • Monitor and report on fund credit quality, duration, liquidity, and other risk metrics
  • Conduct basic credit assessment and risk/return modelling
  • Communicate with brokers, counterparties, and product issuers.
  • Execute market transactions
  • Contribute to business growth through increased FUM
  • Build relationships with key internal stakeholders
