Description:

Objective:
Incoming Inspection Technician is key in leading and executing incoming inspection activities with precision and adherence to established procedures, ensuring the highest quality control standards for raw materials. The Incoming Inspection Technician will meticulously manage the inspection backlog, prioritize tasks based on priority, and maintain accurate documentation to support compliance requirements.
By actively participating in developing quality procedures, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving non-conformance processes, this role plays a pivotal part in upholding product integrity and regulatory compliance. Additionally, the Incoming Inspection Technician will contribute to validation activities, and training initiatives to continuously enhance operational excellence and ensure a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections on incoming raw materials
  • Managing and organizing the backlog of materials that are awaiting inspection.Follow-up inspections on materials that have been prioritized for inspection, ensuring that they are evaluated in the correct sequence based on their priority and according to the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principle.
  • Manage the documentation generated during the incoming inspection process, including completing, verifying, and delivering it to the documentation center or Quality Management (CQ) system.
  • Actively contribute to the creation and refinement of procedures related to quality inspections and the release of materials.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work areas where incoming inspection activities take place, following established 5S standards and EHS guidelines.
  • Works with engineers or Sr Technician in Non-Conformance (NC) processes related to inspection failures or deviations in the incoming inspection process. This includes guiding the NC lifecycle from initiation to closure, except for Risk Analysis.
  • Conduct training sessions for new Technicians to familiarize them with the processes related to incoming inspection and other quality-related activities.
  • Managing the Quality Management (QM) module in the SAP system.The job involves conducting inspections of artwork on print proofs for preprinted materials to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to design specifications.
  • Initiate the procurement process by creating requests for the purchase of tools and equipment needed for incoming inspection.
  • Managing the process of integrating equipment into the Quality Management System (QMS) of the organization.

Job Requirements:

  • Advanced student in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or related fields in process (50%) or certified quality technician
  • Intermediate English specially for reading and writing
  • MS Office intermediate knowledge
  • Two years of previous experience in Quality positions such as Jr Technician or inspector.
  • Minimum 1 years of experience in the medical devices industry.
