Our Indirect Supply Chain (ISC) organization is seeking a Procurement Manager (Level K) to support Boeing Research & Technology (BR&T). You will be joining ISC’s Research, Development & Innovation (RD&I) team.
You will lead a global group of professionals responsible for managing all agreements with key strategic global partners & research universities focused around research and technology development. The BR&T team is responsible for the end-to-end research procurement needs of our business partners. The procurement team collaborates and partners with our BR&T engineers to bring new technology to Boeing and external customers.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- 5+ years of experience in a supply chain or procurement related role (e.g. finance, compliance, contracts)
- Experience working with globally dispersed teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- 3+ years of experience leading teams
- Experience with contracts, grants, university agreements, or related research and development projects/work
- Experience executing on a R&D proposal
- 3+ years of experience leading projects or teams in negotiation strategies
- Experience with issuing and managing multiple contract types (e.g., cost type purchase contracts)
- Experience with multiple funding types (e.g., IR&D, Commercial, new business funds (NBF), etc.)
- Experience working in various procurement software systems
- Demonstrated success in working independently; acting autonomously when making decisions
Responsibilities:
- Manages, leads, develops and motivates employees
- Manages employees from multiple Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of company operations, supplier assessment and performance improvement, management and improvement of supply chain management and processes and supplier diversity
- Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities; authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements
- Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
- Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and employees
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
- Provides oversight regarding negotiation processes and related tools
