Description:
JOB SUMMARY
- Leads the entire operations of the Performance Minerals in APAC (18 plants and mines with a sales revenue around €220m revenue; on top, the Industrial Director will manage 10 sites serving the Paper Industry with a revenue around €150m which are under divestment) to reach highest customer satisfaction (quality and service) at lowest cost with zero accidentLeads the entire supply chain process from S&OP to Procurement across 18 manufacturing sites. This includes S&OP process, operational scheduling, flows management (logistics inbound and outbound), inventory management and warehousing, and procurement (excl. strategic purchasing).
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE
- Engineer or equivalent, with MBA is a plus
- 15-20 years experience in manufacturing management preferably in various process industries, experience of customer oriented organization
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for EHS across his/ her perimeter and ensuring best safety industrial standards are achieved in the framework of Imerys Safety System
- Manages hubs (plants/mines) including maintenance, H&S, projects/capex, process improvement, i-Cube system, quality across all sites in his/ her perimeter
- Responsible for the effectiveness of S&OP and Supply Chain activities under his/her responsibility, such as S&OP; Operational planning; Logistics and warehousing management & Procurement.
- Responsible for cost reduction in his/her scope and productivity and process improvement
- Responsible for the optimization of his/ her assets (debottlenecking for capacity increase, flexibility and reduction of lead-times for better service level).
- Ensures tight coordination with commercial functions and is supported by Finance & HR Business Partners and Corporate Operations Center of Excellence & Purchasing
- Supports his/her teams (hub managers, operations functions & supply chain team) to develop continuous improvement action plan by leveraging Group I-cube system and training.
- Leads high performance team through appropriate management rituals and attracts, develops and retains team members in his/ her perimeter (beyond direct reports)
- Drives transformation and implements new organization and ways of working for his/her perimeter
