ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an Industrial Engineer (f/m/d) to join the implementation team of our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering department in Eppingen-Richen (DE).
As Industrial Engineer in our implementation team located at the factory site, you are taking a key role in detailed planning, implementation, qualification and optimization of our manufacturing solutions for prefabrication of building modules. You are collaborating closely with building system experts, mechanical engineers, the digitalization team (digital production control systems, Industry 4.0) and production. Your work integrates into our development, change and improvement processes while you are especially engaged in the transfer of new products / processes to series production, ramp-up and subsequent optimization.
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- The development of new products (prefabricated building modules for site assembly) and respective production process designs
- The planning, implementation, and optimization of (semi-)automated assembly solutions in our factory
- Analyzing process and cycle times in order to identify potentials for production improvement and aiming to optimize accuracy of process planning outcomes (time studies, e.g. REFA)
- Planning, coordinating, accompany and document tests, trials, and prototypes in the course of product and process development collaboratively with relevant stakeholders incl. feedback of results and conclusions
- Contributing to and/or managing changes to products or respective manufacturing processes in series production (change control)
- Providing work standards to production - e.g. work instructions
- Training production staff
- Analyzing and eliminating deviations in quality, costs, delivery reliability by participating in or leading improvement projects using Lean and CIP methods (Kaizen)
