JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for an Industrial Engineer this position shall provide product documentation, while enhancing quality and reducing costs in both projects and technology. Lead the implementation of new product development, including maintenance and optimization of production systems. Accountability from industrial prototype to serial production.
The position is based in Winsted, MN, reporting to the Industrial Engineering & Quality Manager.
Tetra Pak is not sponsoring work visas or relocation for this position.
Responsibilities:
As an Industrial Engineer you will:
- Build and secure technical capabilities in respect of early management, core manufacturing technologies, technical master data management (e.g. mBoM, routing, workflow) and project management (with focus on product industrialization and transfer).
- Lead product transfers (new or core) in the factory, not only documenting, but improving the whole process; quality, takt time, and factory costs are critical.
- Lead product introductions through the identification of the necessary stakeholders, language translation, training, and documentation.
- Quality requirements to be built-in to the process and implement a Smart Factory approach.
- Secure compliance to OHS through the enhancement of safety in the manufacturing process.
- Ensure a smooth hand-over to manufacturing functions such as production, planning, logistics, or quality.
- Plan and strategize implementation of projects in the factory with full collaboration of other departments.
- Support, collaborate, and participate in WCM improvement pillars to ensure full integration of product capabilities and process.
