JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Industrial Engineer to monitor and analyze our current operations and determine key areas for more efficient production processes. The industrial engineer’s responsibilities include analyzing operations, redesigning workflows and production processes, and reducing inefficiency.
To be successful as an industrial engineer you should be able to design systems that maximize productivity, reduce wastefulness and production issues, are cost-efficient, and ensure high product quality.
Location: Onsite (Streetsboro, OH Headquarters)

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Engineering degree or comparable work experience of a minimum of 3-5 years in a related field
  • Experience in Microsoft office, CAD software
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with production machinery, processes and standards
  • Strong problem solving, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability and desire to work in a team-oriented environment with a cross functional team.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing production schedules, processes, specifications, and related information.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality assurance, and maintenance to gather input and insights regarding assembly process challenges.
  • Designing production processes that maximize efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Design comprehensive time study processes to best capture plant activities and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Identifying key areas for implementing process improvements and technological upgrades to streamline workflows, reduce cycle times, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Providing input during product design to maximize tool efficiencies.
  • Developing production standards and KPIs in cooperation with management and user personnel, identifying trends, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Redesigning the layout of assembly areas to reduce inefficiencies and bottlenecks and improve performance.
  • Training staff for new processes and providing instructions and manuals to ensure successful implementation and adoption.
  • Managing process documentation, including SOPs and work instructions.
  • Design and implement ergonomic improvements to enhance workplace safety and optimize operator efficiency.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen events and lean manufacturing projects, to drive sustainable improvements in assembly operations.
  • All other duties as assigned.
