Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

DNV’s SCPA Business Area is looking to hire an Industrial Business Development Manger who will serve as the pivotal figure in the development, growth, and shaping of the specific set of services offered by SCPA within the Industrial Product Assurance Sector across North America.
The role is envisioned as a single contributor in 2024, with a 50/50 balance of sales in traditional areas and growth into new markets. This position is expected to grow into a line management role as the business development portfolio is expanded, and will include sales and marketing efforts in the North America Industrial Product Assurance area. The Industrial Business Development Manager operates in concert with sector area operations management, combines strategic, commercial, operational, and people leadership to ensure that the service line remains competitive, profitable, and aligned with the broader organizational objectives.
This position offers tremendous opportunity to develop a new, or newly focused service line, built on the solid foundation of DNV’s traditional Product Assurance services. DNV offers competitive wages, benefits, sales incentive or profit sharing, and personal development/learning opportunities.
This role is 100% remote within the United States.

Given the strategic nature of the Industrial PA Business Development Specialist role, it’s essential that the individual in this position maintains a holistic view of the company’s goals, the evolving market landscape, and customer needs. They should also be adaptable, have strong leadership capabilities, and be adept at cross-functional collaboration.

  • Bachelors Degree in a relevant field;.
  • 10-15 years of experience in the industrial sector
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic leadership roles
  • Proven track record in international markets and diverse regulatory environments.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic growth plans based on market insights.
  • Proficiency in contract negotiations, and tender submissions.
  • Track record in service development, lifecycle management, and digital transformation.
  • Exceptional people management skills, preferably with experience in talent strategy and mentoring.
  • Risk Management: Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate market risks effectively.
