The Role
The selected candidate will be supporting operations and projects of Industrial Telecommunications for critical Chevron assets.
Contribution as an expert in your area to team with other experts around the world.
Continued Education and growth as an SME in RF technologies
As an Industrial RF Engineer, you will:
-

Support the RF communication requirements primarily in the EMEA region

• Participate as a Global Member of the Industrial Network Team contributing to standards, designs, and projects across the world
• Identify the most optimal RF system solutions for our digital platforms in accordance with best practices and company standards
• Provide operational support in escalated situations related to complex systems

Requirements:
Experience
-

10+ Years experience in a complex RF environment

• Expertise in multiple RF Technologies such as Microwave, 2-Way Radio, and Satellite
• Hands on experience in troubleshooting industrial wireless technologies
• Proven ability of working in a large, fast moving environment to support RF communications

Skills

Familiarity with the Following Technologies:

• Wireless system design using multipoint, LTE, and/or Wimax protocols
• Indoor and/or outdoor DAS/WiFi AP layouts including site surveys
• Two-way radio system support using Analog, TETRA, DMR, or P25 standards
• Scada and process control communication systems
• Propagation coverage studies using a major propagation tool (EDX, Atoll, etc)
• Link budget creation and analysis
• Point-to-Point microwave systems and backhaul design
• Satellite system integration
• Other telecom solutions for a modern plant environment
• 4G/5G Core understanding, provisioning, and basic IP architectures
• Communication/Tower system document and drawing creation/review (Visio and/or Autocad)

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Related Fields
