Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking an Industrial Security Specialist – Construction Surveillance Technician to join the Government Security group located in Kent, WA!

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 1+ years of experience in Industrial Security
  • Physical ability to lift boxes weighing up to 40 pounds
  • Physical ability to stand for duration of a shift; able to lift, carry, move and manipulate a large volume and variety of parts
  • Ability to travel and physically inspect buildings, mechanical spaces and equipment
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, ability to work independently, and a commitment to ensuring site security and safety.
  • Agile and willing to work in a fast paced work environment while balancing multiple tasks concurrently and paying close attention to detail
  • Experience using Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Access, and Powerpoint)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, or equivalent work or military experience

TYPICAL EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. 4 years’ related work experience).

Responsibilities:

  • This position will be predominantly used for escorting personnel that are not cleared to enter areas on their own.
  • Conducts continuous surveillance of construction sites to detect and prevent unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and any security breaches.
  • Verifies the credentials of personnel entering the construction site, ensuring that only authorized individuals are granted access.
  • Documents and reports any suspicious activities, security incidents, or violations of site policies promptly and accurately.
  • Implements and enforces security protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and secure construction environment.
  • Coordinates with security personnel, construction managers, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive site security.
  • Works in construction areas and monitoring personnel in those construction areas.
  • Maintains a schedule that can be shared with program leadership.
  • Works with teammates to ensure the task is completed and the areas are secure.
  • Assists customers with security related issues.
