Description:
The Senior IP should have excellent written and oral communication skills, display leadership and creativity, possess time management skills, and have extensive presentation experience. The Senior IP is responsible for identifying, investigating, monitoring, and reporting healthcare-associated infections. The IP collaborates with teams and individual to create infection prevention strategies, provide feedback, and sustain infection prevention strategies. Reports to: Director of Infection Prevention
Job Function :

- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, or sitting while on duty.
- Current RN license with at least a
- baccalaureate degree in nursing, public health, epidemiology, clinical laboratory science, medical technology or related field, and/or
- degree or registered as a Medical Technologist with experience in Microbiology and ASCP certification.
- Five years of relevant clinical experience and CIC certification is a requirement.
Work Experience :
Must have working knowledge of asepsis and microbiology, good oral and written communication skills, and good judgment in implementing appropriate infection control procedures. Must demonstrate ability to recognize patients’ individual needs based on medical conditions, age (infant, pediatric, adolescent, young, middle-aged, and geriatric adult), limitations, and planned procedures.
