Description:

An opportunity has arisen for an Information Analyst to join the IM&T team, to maintain the production of trustwide data quality and information reporting, and support the operational divisions with their ongoing information and analytical requirements. The role will be a key part of the team, providing analysis and intelligence to divisional management and helping them to make sense of their clinical activity data.

We are looking for a dedicated and talented individual who will be able to support our IM&T team with routine and ad-hoc information reporting. The successful candidate will be responsible for the production of key corporate and data quality reports, assisting with the work of Information Business Partners and divisional analytical teams. They will provide advice, insights and solutions from the activity data generated by the Trust, to provide support for operational and strategic decision-making. They will need to have an analytical and problem-solving mind, possess excellent communication skills and be adept in technical skills such as Microsoft Excel, SQL and ideally Power BI.
To be responsible for the production of regular and ad hoc reports and intelligence reporting.
To be a focal point in the preparation of the Trust’s internal data quality reporting.
To be the named point of contact for reports and respond to information and technical queries from staff, and work with staff to improve data collection, completeness and accuracy.
To provide analytical support within the Information team.

Primary focal point for the preparation of routine data quality reporting and ad hoc data investigations.
To make use of appropriate reporting systems, including SQL Server, Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and Microsoft Access.
Liaise with clinical service leads to amend and update utilisation reports as and when required.
Prepare and distribute reports to agreed timescales.
Act on users’ ad-hoc information requests.
Attend meetings when required to explain service reports, advise on reporting options, and to take minutes/actions.
To work with heads of service to identify data collection and reporting needs and refinements to existing reports.
Prepare data for use in monthly/quarterly provider reports to commissioners and contribute to the preparation of reports.
Contribute to the development of Power BI and reporting database to ensure readily accessible, accurate, web-based reports are available to key users including clinical staff, team leaders and senior managers.
To provide appropriate comparative information to support performance improvement, e.g., using benchmarking tools and resources such as productivity metrics.
To review, interpret and answer queries with regards to any externally-published data quality reports, to justify and explain results in a manner that enables understanding.
To ensure that all tasks and procedures are fully documented and accessible by others so that tasks can be completed during periods of absence.
To work to support the standardisation of all areas of information management across CLCH; this would include the development and use of standard queries, common definitions of KPIs and consistent reporting intervals across the organisation.
To analyse data and investigate possible errors in reporting techniques and correct these prior to publication of any report.
To identify trends in data that suggest changing service needs, and to ensure that these are communicated to service leads, along with any possible solutions arising from supporting data.
To minute monthly partnership contract review meetings with Information service provider (BIPA).
The postholder will be required to manage their own workload to ensure that deadlines for allocated reports are met. This may require leaving tasks that have already begun to work on another that is due sooner when ad hoc requests arise. This will require good planning, time management and the ability to multitask.
The postholder will be required to plan and implement a broad range of activities across their project areas.
The postholder will work autonomously towards defined results, with some advice available from peers or external reference points.
The postholder will be required to work across multiple sites to provide support to operational and clinical teams within their allocated divisions.
