Description:
This role provides an excellent opportunity to work within an established department to ensure delivery of effective Information Governance standards across the organisation to maintain the confidentiality, integrity and availability of Information and, support the delivery of patient care.
You will be highly motivated with strong interpersonal, negotiation and organisational skills and be able to communicate key information and influence a wide audience at all levels including managers, clinicians and administrative staff as well as external stakeholders.
You will provide expert advice and support in all areas Information Governance and Data Protection, promoting and raising awareness across the organisation.
Excellent knowledge and understanding of Data Protection, Information Security and Freedom of Information backed with substantial practical experience is essential, including good IT skills as well as problem solving and analytical skills.

To support the Head of Information Governance and Data Protection Officer (DPO)in the management and implementation of the Information Governance framework and work programme across the Trust, ensuring the Trust complies with the NHS Data Security and Protection (DSP) Toolkit Standards, Data Protection Act 2018, UK General Data Protection Regulations, Freedom of Information and all associated legislation, standards and best practice.
Raise awareness, providing training and guidance to staff across the Trust on all areas of Information Governance and Data Security.
To act as the key contact person for Information Governance issues and deputise for the Data Protection Officer and attend meetings as required.
