  • Tertiary qualification in information management, records management, information security, computer science or a related field
  • Proven operational experience in records management
  • Strong knowledge of the relevant records legislation, standard and statutory processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Information Management Lead is accountable for establishing and implementing the frameworks for managing information and ensuring the security, integrity, and confidentiality of information and records across its lifecycle. This includes regulatory and compliance obligations, and the security value of the information we capture and create. The role aims to support the ongoing effective performance of information management throughout our business and is seen as a trusted advisor in information standards, risks, assurance, and compliance management. They will develop and implement strategies, policies, and procedures to protect against cyber threats and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. They will work closely with technology teams, management, and external stakeholders to identify vulnerabilities, assess risks, and implement appropriate measures for management.
The ideal candidate would have extensive records management experience, an understanding of the cybersecurity landscape and how to deal with cyber risks.
The role is a permanent full-time opportunity base at the client’s Traralgon office. Additionally, there are negotiable flexible working arrangements & hours available. The starting salary is $97,347 plus superannuation, with room for further growth and negotiation for the right candidate.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement information security and record management strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and review data loss prevention alerts to identify potential threats and weaknesses with information and records.
  • Establish effective control and compliance strategies to identify risks and compliance gaps related to information management legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and investigate information security and data breaches and develop appropriate response plans.
  • Collaborate with Information Technology (IT) teams to ensure the implementation and maintenance of data loss prevention policies.
  • Develop and maintain a robust record management system, ensuring the proper classification, retention, and disposal of records
