Description:

Responsible for managing the Public Information Technology Branch Office of Special Services (PITBOSS) including organizing staff and equipment support for Caltrans field operations, special events and media outreach. The Public Information Technology Manager (PITM) is the External Affairs liaison with Information Technology and coordinates directly with IT for support, service and compliance. This position reports directly to the Office Chief of Public Affairs and Strategic Communications and remains in direct contact and coordinates with other Public Affairs Branch Chiefs. The PITM helps craft the short- and long-term vision for technology acquisition and deployment for D4 External Affairs. The PITM is also responsible for developing, managing and deployment of the PITBOSS equipment cache. The PITM works with D4 Project Managers, PIO Branch Chiefs, PIOs and the Public Affairs Office Chief to resource and support outreach and engagement efforts by helping to draft communication plans, staffing plans and visioning and delivering technology strategies that help deliver on the intent of the event.
