DESIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Hands-on experience as a Security Engineer, DevOps Engineer or Site Reliability Engineer (SRE).
• A keen interest in Cyber Security and the cloud.
• Experience troubleshooting complex problems and engaging with stakeholders to resolve them.
• An understanding of the root causes of security vulnerabilities and security frameworks such as the OWASP top 10.
• Hands-on experience with the Linux command line
• A keen eye for detail, spotting pitfalls in designs before effort is committed
• A cool head under pressure – we work together as a team, especially in the busier periods
• A willingness to approach unfamiliar tasks

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

A security engineer is instrumental in a wide variety of solutions in the business, from building deployment pipelines of security services developing new security capabilities, and working with development teams to improve their security posture.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring that we keep the business and our customers safe.

WHAT WILL YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE?

• Creatively solve security problems from end to end
• Consider how your modifications will affect others and follow change management processes.
• Create and present designs and analyses to the wider security team.
• Act as an SME for the DevSecOps space within InfoSec.
• Develop and contribute to a culture of cloud-native engineering.
• Deliver new capabilities for detecting and remediating security vulnerabilities across a wide set of domains
• Provide out-of-hours support for our mission-critical services
