Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) III

The Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) III is responsible for program planning focused on Scaled Agile Scrum activities, kick-off and monthly technical meetings and status reports, and preparation of a PMP.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5 years of position-specific relevant experience.6 years of overall IT/IS experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience and/or certifications associated with RMF, ICD 503, NIST SP800-53 or DCID 6/3.
• Experience in current authorization practices, particularly within the DoD.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• DoD 8570.1.01-m IAT Level II Certification

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to lift at least 15lbs

• Provide security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management across all customer domains as specified by the contract and consistent with negotiated Service Level Agreements (SLA).
• Recommend system-level solutions to resolve security requirements and support the enforcement of the design and implementation of trusted relationships among external systems and architectures.
• Design and implement security-related products on an enterprise level, then integrate products into the current environment.
• Participate in the change management process, including reviewing Change Requests and assisting in assessing the security impact of proposed changes.
• Monitor system recovery processes to ensure security features and functions are properly restored and functioning correctly following an outage, and work on project teams responsible for engineering and packaging releases to integrate within the customer’s production IT environment.
• Report to the Cyber Services Manager IV.
  The ISSE III is a senior role with extensive experience in Scaled Agile methodologies for development of enterprise-level secure systems. The ISSE III supervises and mentors subordinate project and Team ManTech staff.
