Job Description and Duties
The Department of Financial Protection and Innovation is recruiting a Permanent Full-time Information Technology Specialist II position within the Information Technology Services Division. This position is to be located at the department’s Sacramento, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Diego office. This recruitment may be used to fill subsequent vacancies in this position within the next 180 days.
Under the general direction of the Director of Enterprise Architecture (DEA), the Information Technology Specialist II (ITS II) is part of a database administration team responsible for coordination, maintenance, development, and overall administration of the department’s Business Intelligence (BI) Infrastructure, ServiceNow, and SharePoint systems for the Enterprise Architecture Unit. The successful candidate will serve as primary support for the DFPI’s data BI infrastructure. Responsibilities include the coordination, maintenance, development, and overall administration of the department’s data services. Other responsibilities include designing, installing, configuring, and supporting the DFPI data pipeline including data exchange, ETL (extract, transform & load) and integration. The ITS II supports the DFPI business partners with report and data visualization tools such as PowerBI.
