Covered California, a leading state health exchange committed to providing affordable, high-quality healthcare, is seeking a highly skilled Information Technology Specialist III (ITS III), Service Center Solutions Architect, to lead the development and execution of strategic IT solutions! This position is vital to our mission, directly impacting the ability of millions of Californians to access the healthcare they need.

YOUR OPPORTUNITY:

As the ITS III, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of our organization’s IT infrastructure, translating diverse stakeholder needs into efficient and scalable technology designs. You will lead innovative strategies, developing technology blueprints and product roadmaps that streamline our service center business processes and solutions in a hybrid work environment. This role presents a unique opportunity to incorporate your solutions into the overarching enterprise architecture strategy for Covered California. You will work closely with project managers and executive leadership, ensuring alignment of plans with the delivery and promoting the organization’s strategic objectives.
In addition to technical expertise, we are seeking a leader who can champion a knowledge-sharing environment, mentor junior team members, and foster continuous learning and innovation. You will also work closely with our information security, privacy, and risk management teams, identifying potential risks and resolving issues with service center technology initiatives.

This position’s office headquarters location is designated in Sacramento County. Travel expenses associated with commuting to the employee’s office headquarters location are not reimbursable, other than authorized transit subsidies.

Working Conditions

  • This position may be eligible for telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and based on Covered California’s current telework policy. While Covered California supports telework, in-person attendance may be required based on operational needs. Employees are expected to be able to report to their worksite with minimal notification if an urgent need arises, as determined by the Department.
