Our client has an immediate requirement for a seasoned professional IT Specialist with a strong understanding of business process workflow to join their Wellington based Technology team. Your role will be responsible for monitoring, development, maintenance, and modification of these processes to ensure maximum throughput of information and maximum output and efficiencies are delivered to the business. You will also work closely with the OT Technology Specialist to incorporate the SCADA and GIS systems and applications into your workflows.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to drive and maintain a large and Complex IT Network incorporating both operational (control devices/settings) and IT including networking, information processing, data centres, and cloud systems
  • Technical understanding of Microsoft Azure and automation tools from Microsoft like Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse and Power BI
  • DevOps and CI/CD automation using tools like Ansible, Jenkins, Gitea
  • Expertise in managing and prioritising project backlogs, ensuring that tasks align with strategic goals and objectives
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Azure CLI, Bash, Python
  • Linux and Windows system administration
  • Demonstratable knowledge of methods to implement secure systems integrations using ODBC, Web Services (REST, SOAP), OData, FTP and direct file access (CSV, etc)
  • Experience with SQL Server Integration Services, comparable ETL or API gateway solutions preferred
  • Ability to document systems using industry standard formats and methods (SOPs, interface specifications, functional descriptions, solution diagrams, etc) preferred
  • Expertise in using Azure DevOps for Epics, Features and backlog management
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
