Description:

JOB SUMMARY

Be an SME on the account with advanced technical knowledge (Level 3) in Oracle and PostGreSQL RDBMS systems. Expert in performance tuning, high availability technologies and disaster recovery solutions. Manage databases on hybrid platforms including AWS, Azure cloud platforms. Drive service improvement initiatives and automations in the region.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Handle end to end delivery and have a strong business connect within the region.
  • Maintain SLAs and KPIs. Drive service improvement efforts in the region and improve productivity.
  • Handle high severity issues including the technical aspects and communication to stakeholders.
  • Work with product vendors on escalated issues
  • Create run books, checklists, and process documents.
  • Provide guidance to offshore support team when needed.
  • Participate in DR tests.
  • Participate in rotational on call support.
  • Flexible to extend support hours if needed for critical activities or major incidents or customer meetings

Skills and Experience:

  • Min a Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Min 3-5yrs experience in relevant role experience is required
  • Oracle, PostgreSQL DB administration(L2/L3). Technical certifications preferred.
  • Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), Golden Gate and Data Guard
  • Experience in AWS/Azure cloud platforms. Technical certifications preferred.
  • Experience on Linux/Windows platforms.
  • Shell scripting
  • Good understanding of ITIL practices - Incident, Problem & Change Management.
  • Exposure to multi - tier applications and its infrastructure components
  • Knowledge in Life Science domain and industry regulations
  • Any additional RDBMS/NoSQL knowledge
