POSITION DESCRIPTION:

As an Infrastructure Analyst specializing in Server Administration, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our organization’s server infrastructure. This position requires a deep understanding of server technologies, virtualization, and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize server environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various business applications and ensure the overall reliability of our IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Server Deployment and Configuration:
  • Plan, install, configure, and maintain server hardware and software components
  • Deploy and manage virtualization technologies for efficient resource utilization
  • Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
  • Monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations to ensure optimal system efficiency
  • Conduct regular capacity planning to anticipate future resource requirements
  • Security and Compliance:
  • Implement and enforce security measures to protect server infrastructure from potential threats
  • Ensure servers comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Backup and Disaster Recovery:
  • Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans for critical server systems
  • Conduct regular testing of backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity
  • Patch Management:
  • Manage and apply server patches, updates, and firmware upgrades in a timely and organized manner
  • Evaluate and test patches to minimize the impact on system stability
  • Incident Response and Troubleshooting:
  • Respond to server-related incidents, diagnose issues, and implement resolutions
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to address escalated technical issues
  • Documentation:
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for server configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
  • Keep documentation up-to-date with changes and improvements to the server infrastructure
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate with IT teams, system architects, and other stakeholders to ensure server infrastructure meets business requirements
  • Communicate effectively with end-users, providing technical support and guidance as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Server Administration, with a focus on Windows Server Technologies
  • Proven experience in server administration and infrastructure management
  • Proficiency in virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Strong knowledge of server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux)
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Solid understanding of security best practices for server environments
  • Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, or equivalent are advantageous

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience required

Travel:

  • May require up to 25% travel (domestic & international) as needed
  • Estimated Base Salary Range - $71,000.00 - $107,000.00

The wage range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, and location. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographical differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
