The Operation teams at Shopee covers the operational end-to-end process, from when the buyer searches for a product listed on the Shopee platform, to the moment the buyer receives the products. The team analyses and monitors operational KPIs across the region and conducts root cause analysis when operation performance fluctuates. The Operations team comprises Customer Service, Payment, Listings, Warehouse, Logistics, Seller Operations and Fraud.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Shopee Regional Logistics team is committed to providing Shopee’s users with the best possible e-commerce logistics experience in the most cost-effective way.
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure & Automation Project Manager with a proven track record in managing large projects to join our dynamic team.
The Capex Project Manager will play a pivotal role in meticulously planning, executing, and monitoring Capex projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet or exceed stakeholder expectations.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional project management skills along with expertise in evaluating capital expenditure (Capex) investments across various areas such as automation, warehouse space, greenfield development, and other related projects.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. PMP certification is preferred
  • Experience in transportation, warehousing, and real estate is preferred, with a deep understanding of the complexities and dynamics of these industries
  • Proven experience in large project management, with a strong emphasis on breaking down complex projects into milestones and key deliverables and managing vendors relationships
  • Strong sense of ownership with demonstrated ability to be hands-on and overcome implementation challenges
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a keen attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel, as most projects are across markets in Southeast Asia

Responsibilities:

  • Projects Evaluation and Financial Analysis: Evaluate comprehensively potential Capex investments, including automation, warehouse space expansion, greenfield development, and other strategic initiatives. Conduct detailed financial analysis, including ROI calculations, cost-benefit analysis, and sensitivity analysis to support robust decision-making
  • Project Planning and Execution: Lead the end-to-end project management process for infrastructure and automation investments, including breaking down projects into manageable phases, defining key deliverables and milestones, and developing detailed project plans
  • Project Management: Establish clear project milestones and performance indicators, and implement robust tracking mechanisms to monitor progress against established timelines, budgets, and quality standards
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with Capex projects, and develop proactive risk mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure successful project outcomes
  • Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Manage vendors, suppliers, contractors, and other external stakeholders closely throughout the project lifecycle. Proactively identify bottlenecks and issues in vendor relationships and implement solutions to ensure milestones are met. Effectively problem-solve to resolve challenges and maintain positive working relationships with vendors
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, schedules, budgets, and status reports, and provide regular updates to stakeholders to ensure transparency and accountability
