The Lab Services team is a small, close-knit group of practitioners within OpenText Learning Services. We provide practical hands-on lab environments – including expert guidance and support thereof – to promote success of all LS constituents. Those constituents include students, instructors, administrators, content developers, delivery managers, and departmental leaders. #LI-remote
Our team is looking for an accomplished and talented new member for the position of Principal Lab Infrastructure Architect. This role is technically deep yet functionally broad. You will get the opportunity to showcase your skills in virtual training lab R&D while ensuring the success of our content creators and consumers through personal collaboration and support. We are looking for the rare individual who not only possesses a wealth of technical knowledge, but also can explain it in just the right way to those who need our aid. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• 10 + years experience of basic cloud computing (virtual machines, network, storage, security) – AWS, GCP or Microsoft Azure (preferred)
• Extensive knowledge and experience with desktop virtualization platforms – preferably Hyper-V.
• Expertise administering Windows and/or Linux servers and personal workstations.
• Solid knowledge of computer networking fundamentals (DHCP, DNS, NAT, firewalls, security certificates)
• Knowledge and experience with container technology (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Prior experience in customer support roles is a plus.
• Prior experience in for-profit and/or software training is a plus.
