ABOUT THE JOB YOU’RE CONSIDERING
We are looking for a confident, self-motivated individual to join our team as an Onsite Server Engineer. Our engineers are highly knowledgeable and always prepared to get stuck in, providing on-call hands and feet support for a variety of IT hardware and software requests - no two days will look the same for our engineers! YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- A good understanding of IT hardware (server memory, disk, battery, etc.)
- Must hold a UK driving license
- Demonstratable knowledge of HP EVA/XP/3Par and experience working with Genetec software is desired
- Experience working with Windows Server 2003-2019, confident, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure with a minimum level of supervision, meeting tight deadlines
- A working knowledge and experience with ServiceNow, the Ability to work in a team, and good communication skills are also desired
Responsibilities:
- Inventory management of hardware alongside maintenance of server hardware, blades, and DA storage, cooperating with vendors to issue parts
- End-to-end support for CCTV chassis and RAID storage, application support for Genetec software for CCTV systems, Escort third parties around the premises when required
- Monitor and action ServiceNow incidents, managing and fixing CCTV incidents that are in the ServiceNow queue assigned to the department
- Travel to the office during non-business hours and provide on-call support
- Monitor HPSIM, analysing alerts, and raise incidents where necessary, Provide hand and feet support in the data centre for the remote operations team
