ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS - NQF LEVEL
- Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
- Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
Preferred Qualification
Certificate in infrastructure discipline
Relevant Industry Technical certifications
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE LEVEL
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 10 years of experience in cloud architecture and design, with a proven track record of successfully implementing cloud solutions in a complex enterprise environment.
- Strong expertise in onPrem and cloud platforms such as Azure (preferably), and AWS
- Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, CKA, Azure Solutions Architect, or AWS Cloud Professional Cloud Architect are a plus. (Azure preferred)
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.

Responsibilities:
JOB PURPOSE
Develop cloud architecture blueprints, including high-level and detailed designs that are secure, cost-efficient, scalable & reliable.
Design and implement public/private cloud-based architectures that span cloud infrastructure, platforms & services to support the requirements of various business units within Nedbank.
Implement cloud cost management & governance frameworks, processes, guardrails that are aligned with Nedbank well architected principles & industry best practices.
Develop proof-of-concepts, provide hands-on expertise to develop Cloud native solutions to engineering teams.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (e.g. staff surveys etc.).
- Participate and support corporate social responsibility initiatives for the achievement of key business strategies.
- Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance processes; systems and policies and support implementation of new processes; policies and systems.
- Ensure accurate cost estimation basedon coverage of customer requirements and project scopeManage project budget within mandate.
- Deliver projects on target within due date; budget and according to scope and project governance.
- Ensure traceability of defined benefits throughout the life cycle of the project and escalate any deviations arising through out the project.
- Identify project stakeholders; communicate their roles;define level of participation in project; map their communication needs and manage stakeholder engagement strategies through the project plan.
- Manage each stakeholder group actively through the change cycle.
- Manage the business change impact across process; systems and technologyUnderstand roles; behaviours and operations and define strategies in the project schedule.
- Coach customers and management where processes and systems are changed.
- Ensure the change management process is led and supported together with the customer.
- Capture client needs accurately in scope andensure sign off by stakeholders.
- Ensure satisfactory post implementation review by obtaining final sign-off from customers.

- Ensure information is provided correctly to stakeholders by maintaining knowledge sharing knowledge with team.
- Manage delivery of small projects according to prevailing Project Management methodology Conduct effective resource negotiation and allocation by providing advise on project resource requirements; capacity and risk.
- Ensure compliance to procedures; policies and guidelines.
- Identify obstacles and escalate deviations from project through formal project governance channels.
- Direct and coordinate activities and monitor delivery of resources deployed to the project.
- Manage project resource performance together with the line manager.
- Manage project performance review with senior project mentors Monitor project performance and mitigate all project risk by ensuring effective project governance structures are established and effectively managed.
- Ensure the facilitation of Project Management Forums’ Sessions under guidance of mentor
