About the role
We’re seeking an Infrastructure Designer who is responsible for providing the technical interface between the Project or Business teams and Technology Operations.
You’ll join an innovative team that designs solutions that are based on the specifications for Transurban and are in line with the overall enterprise architecture, corporate standards and roadmaps.

Day-to-day, you will:

• Determine the appropriate design of a solution to minimize project capital cost and schedule impact while maximizing deliverables operability, reliability and maintainability
• Enable seamless turnover of project infrastructure and services to operational sustainment
• Provide governance and assistance in the development of project requirements, scope definition, planning, and cost / effort estimating
• Support the Project Delivery team triaging enhancement requests for delivery by outsource partners
• Evaluate technical standards deviations and present technical deviation recommendations to stakeholders
• Review and approve solutions and estimates provided by vendors as part of Statement of Work responses to Request for Service submissions

This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:

• At least 3 years as an Infrastructure Designer
• At least 3 years experience as an Infrastructure Project Resource
• Experience in Datacentre Infrastructure Design
• Conceptual understanding of Database technologies (Oracle, SQL) and Enterprise Storage & Backup Storage technologies (HDS, Veritas)
• Experience in software architecture
