We are seeking an experienced highly motivated IT professional who thrives in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines to join our client, a leading international life sciences organisation, with specialist environmental, pharmaceutical, environment, and food divisions.
You’ll play a key role in troubleshooting complex IT issues, taking ownership of projects, and collaborating effectively to ensure seamless operations.
Our client has recently acquired one of their competitors, who is based in Germany. As such, they are willing to consider candidates who are based in either the UK or Germany, Regular travel to Europe and out-of-hours will be required.
This is a newly created role and will be part of their AgroSciences division, and the successful candidate will join a small, growing, and remotely working team.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in M&A (mergers and acquisitions) with experience in changing everything from applications to hardware and merging into our clients’ systems.
- Familiar with handling complex migration requirements, including connectivity, PC roll-out and local application migration.
- Experience with Laboratory Instrument Integration (desirable but not essential).
- A driver’s license is essential for travel to remote sites and a willingness to drive in Europe.
- Good command of English (Other European Languages highly desirable).
Responsibilities:
- You will play a crucial role in integrating the recently acquired competitor into the company’s operations. You will be responsible for running M&A activities and providing technical expertise, ensuring a smooth transition and successful integration. Beyond the initial 6 months, you will continue to support and maintain the systems and infrastructure you have built.
- Sites inventory, and audit across European sites and therefore we are looking for a candidate who can dig into IT environments to discover components that could affect the low-level design of the site migration.
- Physical migration of sites with end-user experience at the core.
- Work closely with vendors to manage, advise, troubleshoot, and challenge these third parties where necessary.
