This role sits within the Service Stability & Visibility Service Group, that supports the business to run stable and visible technologies to meet the digital needs of our People, Customers and Regulators. Service Visibility is about ensuring we have the tools (ServiceNow) in place to give us end-to-end visibility of our technology and our environments interdependencies, that can be leveraged to provide operational efficiency.

The Service Visibility Squad are responsible for the ITOM application, CMDB, Service Mapping and Discovery within ServiceNow. As the Infrastructure Engineer – ITOM Admin, you will

  • Manage the day-to-day technical operations of the CMDB including Discovery, Service Mapping and CMDB integrations.
  • Assist Squads with on-boarding new device classes/sources into the CMDB via Discovery or Integrations.
  • Assist with troubleshooting of infrastructure specific issues, including collaboration with the wider engineering community.
  • Work with teams to embed Configuration Management processes and contribute to the broader embedding of ServiceNow.
  • Assess, analyse, develop, document and implement changes based on requests for change.
  • Lead and/or assists with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures.
  • Define testing requirements and direct these tasks – assuming responsibility for the platform quality for the project or work request.
  • Act as Risk Champion for the group while supporting the Service Owner uplift risk management awareness and maturity.

Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?

  • 2+ years as a ServiceNow Infrastructure/Platform Engineer/Sys Admin experience
  • Preferrable experience on ITSM/ITOM/Discovery/Service Mapping/ServiceNow/CMDB/CSDM
  • Transferable skills with monitoring tools (Dynatrace, SolarWinds, Splunk, Tivoli)
  • Exposure to discovery, service mapping and automated integrations within ServiceNow or equivalent ITSM tool.
  • Experience working in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Thrives on delivering great customer experiences.
  • Enjoys working as part of a fast-paced multi-tasking team.
  • Builds effective relationships and assimilates information quickly.
  • Self-Leader manages to high quality and time.
  • Ability to write concise and easy to understand documentation.
  • Working as part of a cohesive squad and willingness to cross skill.
