Infrastructure Engineer, Azure, Cloud, O365, Big Data tools.
Due to significant developments we are now recruiting for an Infrastructure Engineer with capabilities across Azure, Cloud, O365 and Big Data solutions. As a member of the IT Infrastructure team this role will be pivotal in operating and deploying key IT Infrastructure services at e.surv and supporting wider shared functions. To provide 3rd line Infrastructure Support for email, server, storage and network environments. To maintain, enhance, and deploy new Infrastructure services, ensuring security and resilience is always paramount.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the technical design, planning and implementation of IT infrastructure services to be delivered as part of the IT Infrastructure roadmap, or ad-hoc projects
  • Be pivotal in e.surv’s ongoing development of Cloud technologies, requiring excellent hands on experience of administration of Azure.
  • Provide day-to-day 3rd line support of the server, storage and network infrastructure
  • Provide day-to-day 3rd line support of infrastructure application services and tools such as Active Directory, File & Print services, Exchange and Firewall
  • Provide efficient and effective escalation path from the 2nd line support team
  • Actively seek opportunities to develop services to be more effective, resilient, and secure
  • Own day-to-relationships with extended technical partners in the management of IT services, working in a collaborative and transparent culture
  • technical implementations into production
  • Ensure supported services are kept updated, secure, and plans in place prior to End of Life
  • To lead any root cause analysis and resolution of problems. Own and drive problem management for the relevant technical areas.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of a process of Continuous Service Improvement.
  • To play an active role in identifying improvement opportunities, taking ownership of implementation, and ensuring that these are communicated to the Service Desk Team leader and IT Management team.
  • Operate within the processes, policies and standards of e.Surv information security management system, aligned to ISO27001
  • Adhere to all operating procedures of the IT Service Desk specifically and the IT department generally.
