SR. INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER

We are looking for an Infrastructure Operations Engineer with advanced technical skills in security, networking, system, and tooling/automation to join the infrastructure team to improve operations efficiency and reliability of a dynamic, fast-paced global network. The candidate needs to have a wide range of skills and willing to adapt and learn additional items.

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Juniper/Cisco routing and switching (ISIS, OSPF, BGP, RSTP, STP, VSTP)
  • Palo Alto firewall products
  • Fortinet firewall and support products
  • VMWare/Ovirt/RHEV/Openstack virtualization
  • Storage (Netapp preferred)
  • Linux operations
  • Internet protocols (DNS, SMTP, SIP, DHCP)

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to network incidents in real time.
  • Assist other groups with escalations of security and network issues.
  • Provide direction to network engineering vendors & consultants.
  • Assist in network planning and design to meet growth & functional requirements.
  • Foster good Internet carrier and vendor relationships.
  • Administer routing protocols.
  • Provide after-action summaries and reason-for-outage reports.
  • Open tickets with carriers, vendors, and data centers as needed.
  • Dispatch technicians and engineers, sometimes in remote locations or after-hours.
  • Respond to escalations via email, trouble tickets, chat, phone, etc.
  • Participate in rotation of after-hours on-call responsibilities with other administrators & engineers in the department.
  • Design and maintain network systems.
