Digital Waffle is looking for an Infrastructure Manager to join a leading Managed Service Provider specialising in Azure cloud solutions. This client provides comprehensive IT services to businesses of all sizes, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to optimise efficiency, security, and scalability. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a talented Infrastructure Manager to lead thier Azure-based operations and ensure the seamless delivery of services to clients.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As an Infrastructure Manager specializing in Azure, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimising the infrastructure operations within their managed services environment. You will be responsible for managing a team of skilled professionals, implementing best practices, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance clients’ cloud infrastructure performance, reliability, and security.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) managing infrastructure operations within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment, with a focus on Azure cloud technologies.
  • Strong expertise in designing, deploying, and managing Azure infrastructure services, including VMs, networking, storage, and security solutions.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Azure CLI) for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and orchestration.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security principles, with experience implementing and maintaining secure cloud environments.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect) preferred.
  • Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) and hybrid cloud environments is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of infrastructure engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the successful execution of projects and tasks.
  • Design, implement, and manage Azure-based infrastructure solutions, including virtual machines, networks, storage, and security configurations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect and deploy scalable, resilient, and secure cloud environments tailored to meet clients’ business needs.
  • Develop and maintain operational procedures, documentation, and standards to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and security posture, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimise downtime and mitigate risks.
  • Drive automation initiatives and leverage DevOps practices to streamline processes, improve deployment speed, and optimise resource utilisation.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure technologies, trends, and best practices, evaluating their potential impact on our services and recommending strategic improvements.
