As an Innovation Consultant within PNC’s Enterprise Innovation organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, Birmingham, AL, or Dallas, TX. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager’s discretion.
The mission of PNC’s Enterprise Innovation is to unlock the possible; to imagine how financial services can improve everyday life of people and organizations. Within the Enterprise Innovation team, the Business Innovation practice is responsible for innovation opportunity scanning, early-stage opportunity analysis, business model conceptualization and validation, partner identification and evaluation, and business due diligence.

We dig into wicked problems to understand what our customers want and need, we build strategies, create experiences, and solve problems using human-centered design practices. We also teach and evangelize design across PNC to help our colleagues leverage design thinking methods to solve their problems, too. We work hard on interesting problems and have fun doing it.
We are looking for a creative individual who is inquisitive, thoughtful, and passionate about understanding users to create relevant and engaging customer experiences.
In this position, you will blend business acumen and technical aptitude to employ analytical storytelling methods that communicate complex insights in a compelling way. You will collaborate across functions within Experience Innovation and across the Enterprise leveraging data and analytics to understand dependencies, make connections, and identify trends. You should have demonstrated knowledge and application of agile development to formulate and define scope and objectives based on user needs and business processes that inform the creation of business requirements. Within the Experience Innovation team, you will be responsible for establishing processes that add scale, create transparency, and increase efficiency.

Job Description
Consults with business partners to leverage a human centered design approach to solve complex problems.
Consult with the business partners to develop vision and strategy for the engagement and overall user experience.
Leads the execution of research, synthesize and share key findings, provide recommendations to the business.
Create storyboards, leads prototyping and testing of ideas and concepts in collaboration with the business.
Facilitate and Educate employees to leverage human centered design. Champion and provide training to teams of employees.

Qualitative Research – Knowledge of and ability to gain insight concerning the attitudes, beliefs, motivations and behaviors related to an organization’s products, services and businesses.
Work Experience
Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience. Certifications are often desired. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
