QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or other high school equivalence certificate
  • Excellent customer service skills – dedicated to exceeding the expectations of internal and external customers.
  • Strong written and verbal skills – ability to write and speak succinctly with customers and colleagues.
  • Basic to proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (email, word, excel) and ability to learn in-house systems.
  • Prior experience sourcing parts and product information through online vendors or catalogues an asset.
  • Completion of parts technician trades program an asset
  • Knowledge of HD truck, trailer and/or agriculture parts an asset
  • Valid class 5/G license with 6 years of Canadian driving experience an asset
  • Driver’s abstract with no major infractions subject to approval by FGI insurers required an asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Sell parts to customers and build customer relationships by correctly identifying parts needed, taking orders, creating invoices, billing out freight, and collecting payment.
  • Increase sales and decrease obsolete stock by making suggestions, up-selling products and advising customers on product applications
  • Special order parts or source from other branches when necessary
  • Answer customers’ questions about products, prices, availability, product catalogs and features
  • Process approved credits for customer when merchandise is returned
  • Establish and maintain good customer relations
  • Other duties as assigned
