THE JOB:

We are looking for an ambitious Inside Sales Representative to join our sales team in the UK.
In this role you will be a key member of our Genetic Analysis sales team serving our Biotech and Research customers in one of our UK territories. You will be focused on growing our market leading consumables portfolio of qPCR/CE Sequencing and Microarray solutions. To achieve success you will need to forge positive relationships within the existing customer base and develop new business opportunities. You will work on a wide range of tasks such as educating customers on our products and services, creating potential business leads, to developing sales action plans that project and measure your business progress.
This is an office-based role at our Inchinnan, Paisley office (near Glasgow), with the option to work from home 1 day per week. Your primary method of contact with customers is phone and digital solutions. Field visits will also be part of the role and successful candidates will be encouraged to travel within territory up to twice a month to develop relationships with our customers and prospect for new business.
This role is ideal for a Life Sciences graduate with some laboratory or customer-facing experience, who wants to pursue a sales career at a global company. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in qPCR. Our organization is developing, and we guarantee an interesting and exciting position, in an international environment. We will provide full product and sales training to develop your selling skills and ensure your success in the role.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • A degree in a Life Science
  • Technical experience of the qPCR workflow and market strongly preferred
  • Any kind of work experience outside of your degree: Laboratory-based work, sales/telesales/retail sales or customer service experience in any industry all of particular interest
  • Commercial approach, with a genuine desire to work in a sales role
  • Positive attitude and desire to succeed
  • Strong communicator and confident personality; able to engage and influence at all levels
  • Fluent in English
  • Digital literacy in MS Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint or similar programs required
  • Willing and able to travel up to 20% of working time (c. 2 trips per month), including overnight stays
