HE ANGITŪTANGA: THE OPPORTUNITY

Auckland Council’s Insights team has an opportunity for a permanent full time Insights Analyst to join the team. You will be based in the Auckland city centre but with the flexibility to work from home or one of our Council hubs.
Reporting to the Insights Manager, you will support stakeholders across various departments, such as Parks, Libraries, and flood resilience teams. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver evidence-based market research to guide decision-making and strategic planning.
As an Insights Analyst you will work behind the scenes to bridge the gap between Aucklander’s voice and the organisation. Your work will play a crucial part in focussing our stakeholders’ priorities.

Day-to-day you could expect to work on:

  • Working with colleagues to maintain and evolve our Voice of Customer programme, including scripting, workflows, analysis and dashboarding
  • Meeting with stakeholders to understand their insights needs and Procuring and/or managing research providers
  • Developing and delivering research projects to help shape new initiatives
  • Identifying insights from data and developing visualisation and story telling
  • Analysing community feedback on Council policies and plans, supporting and developing community engagement data-oriented tools

HE KŌRERO MŌU: ABOUT YOU

You will likely have experience in market research environments, CX/VoC or other quantitative research.
To be successful in this role, you will need strong stakeholder management skills. You must have the ability to collate and articulate large, complex information. This role involves challenging existing activities and providing informed recommendations for improvement.

We are specifically looking for:

  • Proficient using measurement and analysis tools in a complex environment e.g. one or more applications such as Qualtrics, SPSS, PowerBi, RStudio, InfoTools, Q
  • Experience with online survey/engagement platforms and data visualisation.
  • Degree in relevant discipline (e.g. Statistics, Marketing, Social Sciences) or relevant industry experience
