As an Insights Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the way our client utilises data. You will be responsible for designing captivating reports using Power BI, providing valuable insights that drive business performance. Your expertise in SQL will be crucial as you analyse diverse datasets, enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions. Your innovative approach will lead the exploration of new opportunities in advanced analytics. You’ll also liaise with various stakeholders, facilitating the implementation of improved data solutions. • Designing and building highly engaging and insightful reports in Power BI to support business performance
• Analysing data from a range of sources to assist stakeholders in making informed decisions
• Championing the use of data and insights, guiding stakeholders along this journey
• Leading the investigation and implementation of new opportunities to utilise advanced analytics and modelling
• Liaising with various business stakeholders to facilitate the implementation of new and improved data solutions
• Maintaining analytical and reporting environments, ensuring high availability and optimal performance
• Assisting with effective data management and governance
• Supporting the roll-out of strategic initiatives to increase data literacy and analytical maturity across the organisation
• Developing and maintaining technical documentation across the entire data landscape

What you bring:

The ideal Insights Analyst will bring a wealth of experience in designing and building reports in enterprise reporting solutions such as PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik Sense, OLAP, SSRS. Your SQL expertise will be invaluable in this role, as will your knowledge of the Microsoft BI stack. You’ll have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and a detail-oriented approach to your work. Your strong analytical and problem-solving skills will be put to good use as you navigate complex data sets. • Proven experience designing and building reports and visualisations in enterprise reporting solutions such as PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik Sense, OLAP, SSRS
• Expertise in SQL
• Knowledge of Microsoft BI stack – SQL Server, SSRS and SSIS
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels
• Proven ability to take initiative and be innovative
• Excellent data storytelling skills with the ability to build and deliver compelling data-driven stories
