Description:

Our client is an established smaller chartered accounting practice with international connections. Due to current team dynamics and increasing demand for the firm’s corporate recovery and insolvency services, the opportunity has arisen for a junior insolvency consultant to join their team in Auckland.
The role can best be described as varied and will provide the right candidate with an opportunity to develop their technical skills and experience in insolvency at their pace.

Working alongside a Manager and at times with the directors in the firm, your main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with general administration of Insolvency assignments, including:
  • receiverships
  • liquidations (Solvent and Insolvent)
  • voluntary Administrations
  • investigations
  • Creditor Schemes of Arrangement
  • IRD debt negotiation and settlement proposals
  • various other ad hoc insolvency assignments

Some of your key daily tasks will include but not be limited to:

  • assisting receivers/liquidators on specific assignments
  • dealing with the realisation of assets
  • written and verbal communication with company officers, directors, employees, accountants, and solicitors
  • written and verbal communication with creditors and other affected parties
  • completing statutory and other written reports
  • financial Investigations and reporting
  • analyses of financial statements
  • preparation of cash flow and business forecasts
  • preparation of financial accounts and tax returns.
  • Various other ad hoc tasks, as and when required..

The brief for this role is quite broad and the opportunity may appeal to a range of potentially suitable candidates - from a recent graduate looking for a long-term career in insolvency to a junior/intermediate insolvency consultant or auditor, tax consultant or business services accountant looking to move into a different specialist area within the CA sector.
You may even be CA qualified currently in a business service, audit or a tax role and wanting to move into the corporate recovery and insolvency area.
Naturally, experience in insolvency would be advantageous for this role.
If one of the above scenarios describes you and you are interested in this exclusive opportunity, we would love to tell you more about our client and this newly registered opportunity.
