Description:

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Understand and comply with all regulatory requirements.
  • Perform dimensional and geometric measurements Handle common measurement instructions/devices. Use hand tools.
  • Awareness and understanding of Basic Human Factors and Error Management
  • Self- disciplined and able to communicate effectively and work as a team.
  • Apply workplace safety and health practices and perform basic safety practices and documentation. Apply 5S and basic CI techniques in the workplace.
  • Adequate skills in MS Office (Excel, Word etc.) and ability to interface with ERP systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • ‘O’ Level/NITEC/Diploma in Precision/ Aerospace/ Mechanical Engineering
  • NAS410 / EN 4179 Level II in FPI/EC/UT/Radiography
  • 5 years’ experience in aerospace component MRO facility

Responsibilities:

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspection on aero engine / industrial components in accordance with job instructions, customer specifications and other contractual agreements. Prepare accurate reparability inspection reports.
  • Perform NDT inspection of aero engine components using FPI/EC/UT and Radiography testing methods in accordance with approved job instructions, engine manual etc, and ensure compliance with environmental and health safety standards. Ensure inspection reports are properly signed off. Prepare non‐conformance reports when necessary.
  • Participate in audits, inspections, new product development and CI Programs when required. Comply with and support EHS, Quality, Code of Ethics, all rules and regulations.
  • Maintain the company’s NDT inspection equipment / systems to meet regulatory requirements and ensure all NDT inspections comply with EN4179/NAS410/NADCAP requirements. Solve technical issues and problems where appropriate in daily work.
  • Maintains personal qualifications as stated in the appropriate company process.
  • To train others and to be trained to upgrade skills levels continually.
  • Moves between production assignments that utilize multiple skills endorsements as needed to support production requirements.
  • Assist Operations Leader/Operations Manager in their day-to-day operations to achieve company goals.
  • Carry out any other duties when assigned from time to time.
