Job Purpose
The Engineer undertaking this position will be responsible for installation analysis activities and should liaise with the project team and client to develop sound and safe installation methodologies and sea states for offshore operations.

Job Main Challenges

  • Normally, need to deliver installation analysis tasks on tight schedules, as installation analysis engagers are involved after the completion of the design phase, and any delay and change in design activities will impact installation analysis activities (all tasks are to be delivered according to the Project Baseline Schedule and Document Register).
  • A high accuracy level in delivered analysis results is required to develop safe and robust installation methodologies.
  • Practical offshore experience and best practices must be implemented into developed installation methodologies, and these experiences are quite essential for this role (feedback on the accuracy level of the work is normally given after the offshore campaign or, in some cases, the analysis engineer needs to be involved and supported during the offshore campaign).
  • Interfacing with other disciplines and giving feedback on installability is essential and could be challenging.

Main Accountabilities

  • Analysis for the offshore installation activities (flexible flow-line and risers, Umbilicals, HFLs and Rigid Spools…).
  • Analysis of the different activities of the subsea structure installation (Manifolds, Protection structures, PLETs, ILTs and …).
  • Interface with the project team.
  • Offshore support for the ongoing installation activities.
  • Write technical project documents (installation engineering memo and installation analysis reports).
  • Liaise with Project Teams for project data, installation feasibility, and reporting to clients.
  • Liaise with the Project Team to clarify aspects of the work and complete tasks within the agreed timeframe.
  • Liaise with the Project Team and client to clarify installation analysis concerns.
