Description:

We are looking to hire an Institutional Relationship Manager to join the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for strategic development and creative direction of key accounts in conjunction with the broker and within CMC Markets
  • Have full knowledge of CMC Markets systems (IBs, WLs, Direct API, ST and Iress) and processes and refine and development where necessary
  • Demonstrate clear creative judgement whilst generating initiatives and ideas to grow the partners business
  • Be in a position to accurately forecast new business potential as well as budgetary and operational requirements for each Institutional partnership in your portfolio.
  • Working with other team members and internal contacts to ensure marketing activity whether between partners or Institutions and CMC retail is not conflicting
  • Proactively respond to and manage urgent inbound broker queries professionally and efficiently.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to 2nd Line IT support, the dealing desk and manage issues to their full resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legislative procedures including anti-money laundering and data protection.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the clients business model and act as their brand guardian within CMC Markets
  • Work with the relevant team where required to drive technological advancement to ensure CMC Markets maintains its position as a premium provider.
  • Assist Sales Institutional with the acquisition of new business where required in the form of attending meetings and developing written client materials
  • Responsibility for collating client requirements and dictating partner direction for new client launches and ensuring projects are delivered correctly and on-time.
  • Identify cross selling and commercial opportunities in order to maximise revenue
  • Demonstrate a clear and through understanding of the financial status of your accounts and interpret trends in Management Information.
  • Develop and ensure client retention and educational activities are deployed in order to maximise retention rates across your client portfolio
  • Ensure a positive approach to challenge and provide open and honest feedback
  • Maintain personal/professional development to meet the changing demands of the role, including all relevant regulatory and legislative training
  • When dealing with all customers, clients or colleagues ensure that we provide a clear, fair and consistent high quality service that presents a professional and positive image of CMC Markets
  • Take all reasonable steps to ensure appropriate confidentiality
  • Undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential criteria

  • Strong numeric and analytical skills;
  • Financial markets experience; knowledge and understanding of foreign exchange, CFDs, with additional knowledge of spread betting, shares dealing being an advantage.
  • Able to work confidently to performance targets
  • Confident verbal and written communicator with ability to liaise effectively at all levels
  • Ability to remain calm, logical and measured when working under pressure;
  • Self-motivated and driven; able to act on own initiative
  • Strong team player; able to assist, support and develop colleagues
  • Operates with integrity and a highly client centric mindset, with an ability to build and enhance strong and meaningful client relationships;
  • Solid understanding of underlying markets and execution
  • Good knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Willingness to work shift hours (7:30-16:00, 9:30-18:00 and potentially 12:30-21:00)

Desirable criteria

  • Analytical abilities to collate and report relevant facts and figures
  • Experience in back office highly desirable, good understanding of operational factor involved related to CFD trading
  • Knowledge of automated trading solutions and API connectivity
