Instructional Designer

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• High level experience in Instructional Design or equivalent
• Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe InDesign
• Working knowledge of design and development solutions that meet qualification and standard outcomes
• Openness, flexibility, and the desire to deliver timely and high-quality products
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbally

We are looking for a new Instructional Designer to design, develop and redevelop learning and assessment products for vocational learners and to provide our industries with workforce development solutions.

Duties will include:

• Ensuring Literacy and Numeracy is embedded in learning resources and assessments
• Providing technical reviews and feedback of outsourced products
• Using instructional and graphic design skills to develop and/or improve resources that meet the needs of the learners, industry and the Primary ITO’s requirements
• Liaising with subject matter experts, peers, and internal colleagues to assist with technical/industry specific information required for product development.

This is a fixed-term, full-time role (40 hours per week Monday to Friday) for 18 months and would preferably be based in our Wellington or Auckland Office, but the location can be flexible within with New Zealand for the right candidate. We also operate with hybrid working arrangements to support work-life balance where a work laptop is provided.
