Description:

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Educational Technology, Healthcare or a related field;
  • Certificate in an accredited Instructional Design program or equivalent;
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in instructional design;
  • Previous experience developing high stakes healthcare specific education;
  • Experience integrating and evaluating e-learning within various learning management systems.
  • Demonstrates competency in instructional design methods, adult learning principles, and application of other relevant teaching/learning theory.
  • Technologically proficient, with demonstrated expertise using various e-learning content development platforms and learning management systems (e.g., Articulate, Desire 2 Learn);
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and collaboration skills;
  • Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality education content;
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong mentorship/coaching skills and ability to translate Instructional Design expertise to others.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity and demonstrated competence developing/delivering Epic EHR and other Health professions specific digital education.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and create comprehensive education modules, with a primary focus on critical systems such as but not limited to the Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) platform, clinical procedures, and protocols, interprofessional clinical care training, medical equipment usage, compliance and regulatory training, and emergency response and disaster preparedness;
  • Ensure modules align with regulatory requirements, best practices in adult education, e-learning/experiential design, and organization specific policies;
  • Work closely with subject matter experts to identify training needs and gather and assemble relevant content for the development of educational materials;
  • Work with subject matter experts/other stakeholders to ensure accuracy, relevance, and accessibility of the training modules;
  • Implement learner assessment mechanisms within learning offerings and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs;
  • Analyze feedback, assess learning outcomes, and make data-driven adjustments to continuously improve the quality and impact of educational initiatives;
  • Keep abreast of technological advancements and instructional design trends;
  • Integrate innovative technologies and methodologies into training materials to enhance the overall learning experience of TOH staff.
