THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for experienced Instrumentation and Control Technician – Powerhouse to join our GM Oshawa Facility.

ADDITIONAL JOB DESCRIPTION

  • High School Diploma with Instrumentation and Control Technician 447A (Preferred).
  • Apprenticeship or 5+ years practical experience.
  • Required to safely and efficiently , maintain and repair Control Systems for high pressure steam gas fired boilers, air compressors, and all auxiliary equipment in a first class power plant.
  • Able to trouble shoot and perform routine maintenance and calibrate devices.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient Computer Skill.
  • Working knowledge of Delta V Controls.
  • Energetic and Self-Motivated.
  • Able to work with minimal direct supervision and work independently and as part of a team.
  • Electrician Certification is an asset.

Responsibilities:

The position requires experience in PLC, and DCS control systems, along with experience with both pneumatic and electronic controls.
The candidate will need knowledge in technical configuration, calibration, maintenance, assembly and wiring of Industrial Control Panels, and installation and field wiring of Control Systems
