Description:

CenerTech Canada Ltd. Is seeking a Journeyman Red Seal Instrumentation technician with 5+ years oilsands Maintenance, Projects and turnaround experience to join the team to support the Fort McMurray region. In this role, the successful candidate will be accountable for maintaining the highest level of professional risk management, identifying, troubleshooting and repair of plant equipment and driving safety culture. We are a team of dedicated professionals who take pride in the work we do, the exceptional customers we serve, this position is in the Fort McMurray, AB area on a client site and it is a 14/14 rotation with a competitive hourly rate with travel, LOA and camp provided.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Help Operations Meet Safety, Production, & Maintenance Targets
  • Analog and digital system fault diagnostic techniques and procedures.
  • Principles underlying the construction and use of scientific instruments.
  • Electronic and electrical low voltage circuits.
  • Methods, practices and equipment used in maintaining, repairing, testing and adjusting electro-mechanical, pneumatic, electronic and other types of recording, control, and measuring instruments.
  • Safety practices necessary for the work.
  • Electrical and electronic theory and practice as applied to process instrumentation and control equipment.
  • Analog and digital system fault diagnostic techniques and procedures.
  • Principles of chemistry and physics.
  • Architecture, maintenance and operation of digital computer systems.
  • Operation of telemetry systems.
  • Materials, methods, and equipment used in the inspection, testing, calibration, maintenance, and repair of process instrumentation and control equipment.
  • Principles of preventative maintenance and maintenance documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Alberta Certified Instrumentation Journeyman or Inter-Provincial Red Seal
  • Pass a Pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Test
  • 5 years’ experience in industrial maintenance
  • Experience in reading engineering drawings
  • Experience in troubleshooting equipment issues with electrical and instrumentation
  • Experience using a computer for record keeping and documentation
  • Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold and noisy environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively and constructively, as well as good verbal and written English skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Comprehension of complex work instructions and documentation as well as the ability to perform duties with little direction
  • Valid Driver’s License & Good Driving Record
  • Experience Working and Executing Maintenance in a Live Facility
  • Experience with PLC’s, DCS, Analyzers, Smart transmitters, RTU’s Considered an Asset
  • Dual ticket given priority.
